Christian’s Story

Christian

Christian was compassionate and is remembered for his deep love for people and animals. He was adventurous, loved sports, and enjoyed making people laugh. Active in his church, he had a way of making others feel valued and special when serving those who had less than he did.

Christian suffered from addiction that began with pain medications he was prescribed after a surgery during his teens. As the addiction progressed, Christian and his family fought hard and tried many treatments across the country. He lost the battle to an overdose at the age of 32.

Christian loved dogs and his expression of that love often came in the form of removing their collars because he would say, “They need to be free.”  He, too, longed to be free from addiction.

His life has inspired his mom to love others unconditionally and to look past the hurts and flaws of others. Christian saw value in every person, regardless of their status. Christian always wanted his family to know that he loved them and he knew they loved him, even in the darkest times.   They find comfort in knowing that because of his love for Jesus, he is no longer suffering and has been set free.
